YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE FRUIT-GROWING INDUSTRY

PROPRIETARY VARIETIES
Everything began back in the previous century. Our family’s horticultural tradition dates back to the pre-war period, when our great-grandparents’ manor orchard was one of the sources of income for a sizeable estate specialising in agricultural production. For those times, the owner was a very progressive farmer, focusing on new cultivation technologies, fertilisation, land improvement and beekeeping.

The war and the period of German occupation affected our family very deeply, as everyone took an active part in the struggle against the occupier. The entire family belonged to the Home Army (AK), including the children, who actively served as couriers.

Post-war realities meant that dynamic development was practically out of reach for landowners affected by land reforms, and we had to start our entire fruit-growing story from scratch. It was then that Tadeusz, an officer of the Polish Army and the family patriarch, decided that horticultural production – and more specifically fruit growing – was his calling. Even before the war he had learned from gardeners working as agronomists on large estates, where he studied the secrets of fruit production and gained practical experience. At the beginning it was a small orchard, but the apple varieties grown there already had very high market value and were relatively innovative on the domestic market, which enabled further development and dynamic growth of production.

Over the years, the area of the farm gradually increased, with a strong focus on producing fruit of the highest quality. High productivity and fruit quality set us apart from other producers. Constant implementation of new technologies allowed us to achieve top results, which over the years built the reputation of our production and made us recognisable both in Poland and abroad.
Today, the Smaczneowoce brand is the work of four generations – the result of hard work and determination of the whole family striving to achieve the best possible results that distinguish us from other producers. At present, the farm covers an area of 35 ha, where apples, pears and cherries are grown. Our production keeps pace with the times, and the most modern solutions allow us to achieve very high cultivation efficiency. Tradition, a strong focus on innovation and standards developed over many years make our artisan farm truly unique, with production refined at every stage of the vegetation cycle. All this stems from a love of plants that has been cultivated for almost 100 years and is continually passed on to the next generations.
